For anyone curious as to why the haircut has to be done right now and why we couldn't wait til later?
The first time Mars went to overnight camp (she was 8) she basically only bathed twice and never combed her hair so now the rule is she has to get her hair cut short for camp.
This is especially important since she's going for two weeks this time. (She did have to show us during her second time at camp that she would actually take care of herself or she wouldn't be allowed to go for 2 weeks. And she did great so, here we are, two week camp coming up.)
#geeky talks#life with mars#the camp she's going to this year is usually one you have to go to for a month#but the first time you go you can go for two weeks#(i guess as a warm up)#and mr geeky is already fretting about her maybe wanting to go for a whole month#and he's all âi don't know if i'm comfortable with her being gone that longâ#meanwhile i'm standing there telling the camp to go long as i toss her at them XD#i have full confidence that if mars says she wants to go then she is ready and able to go without us for a month#as a parent i feel a lot of the time like it's iffy about how good a job i'm doing#but mars feeling comfortable and secure enough that she could go to an overnight camp no problem when she was 8#is something that i'm really proud of#anyway i'm hoping she enjoys camp a ton#and that if she does want to go back next year (where it will have to be a month) that mr geeky will be chill about it

I need to talk about Hopkins more on here, especially at 2 a.m.
#hi Geeky i have questions about the dream tapestries. mostly about visuals. i know we're not even at that part yet. but still#unrelated to that. OUGH. HIM.#MY BABY BOYYYYYYY#i feel like i really struggle with keeping a serious tone when roleplaying as him. hes a character that i think about very seriously-#-but idk. i feel like i have a hard time improvising serious reactions to things on the spot. im just making it a part of his character now-#-that when things get too serious he needs to do something a little funny to cope with all the stress he has to go through#and i do think thats in character. i think his parents and the other people in his life that helped raise him all kind of do this.#they certainly try to make eachother laugh#for a little context: in the session this morning Hopkins was trapped in a nightmare where he was being chased by shadow dogs.#later he blew up the shadow dogs with a stick of dynamite he's had in his pocket for like 30 sessions#it was very cathartic for him. to fight the thing hes been afraid of#especially after his ''dad'' dropped him off a cliff#this kid. needs therapy

Every now and then, Charley and I trick ourselves into thinking weâve unlocked the secret level of parenting.
3yo was out cold on the couch by 6:30 â carried her to bed like a sleepy loot drop.
5yo did bedtime without a single side quest or boss battle. Even brushed his teeth without rolling for resistance.
And 7yo? Just casually started putting herself to bed while I was mid-story with her brother.
Is... is this what a peaceful evening feels like? Have we levelled up??
(We fully expect a surprise boss fight at 2am, but for now: bliss.)

Danny Phantom, The Show:
geeky kid gets super powers from his parents' weird inventions! now he has to fight a rogue gallery of ghosts... but uh-oh! he still has to keep his grades up, deal with his embarrassing parents, and navigate girl troubles! rap theme song!
Danny Phantom, the Fandom, After 19 Years of Fermentation:
a child dies. but not quite. the inherent tension between life and death. the obsession of the dead for faded remnants of the living. warped green shadows on the walls of a dark laboratory. having to hide your true nature from those who should be your greatest allies. the fear of the monster you could become if you let yourself. being a ghost as a metaphor for the trans experience. a cold breath on the back of your neck in the dead of the night. rap theme song!
#also wes is there#danny phantom#okay okay i'm exagerrating on both points obviously#it's been a LONG time since i watched the original tv show#but of course it had elements of these deeper themes and that's why the fandom's lasted so long#but it was a mid 2000s cartoon when serialised storytelling in western animation was still in its infancy#the fandom has spent a long time leaning into the story lines and themes that never would have flown then

You know what, enough time has passed and I've given media reviews/reccs in the past, so I'm gonna recommend Pixar's Win or Lose as seriously worth a watch.

I came into the show with zero expectations a few months ago and was pleasantly blown away by the writing, art direction, and character dramas.
Win or Lose is an original drama mini-series created by Pixar that follows a co-ed middle school softball team and the week leading up to a big championship game. Each episode picks one character, either a kid or an adult, and focuses on their perspective/storyline during that week. So in the first episode, we notice a lot of weird mysteries or threads in the background (Why is this character crying uncontrollably? Why are these two fighting?). As the show progresses, we get to see each character's sides of the story and how they interconnect with and affect each other. It's very, very well written and well crafted.
Each episode also tackles a pretty mature and at times distressing theme about growing up and parenting, similar to Inside Out. Here's a one sentence synopsis of each episode's general conflict and theme to give you an idea. Spoilers ahead:
Laurie, who's terrible at softball, desperately wants to impress her father, the team coach, but is dragged down by anxiety, visualized by a growing blob that whispers intrusive thoughts.
A geeky, middle-aged middle school teacher tries to get over a break-up with online dating.
Rochelle, who's the eldest "forced-to-grow-up-too-fast" daughter of a struggling, social media-obsessed single mother, must raise money on her own to pay for her team fee, falling into dangerous situations with older teens.
Following the perspective of the single mother during the events of episode three, we see her side of the story and the complicated ways she works to fend off judgmental parents and support her daughter.
An imaginative but lonely little brother of a softball player becomes friends with a group of teenage outcasts, for better and for worse.
A boy and a girl on the softball team begin dating, but undergo relationship troubles when the boy's insecurities about coolness, honesty, and masculinity cause him to lash out.
Kai, a Black, trans-coded girl on the team, must balance her self-confidence and love for softball while appeasing her sports-loving father, who pressures her to always be her best.
The culmination and climaxes of each episode's arcs and conflicts collide in the big championship game, with a main focus on the team coach/father from the first episode, who's ready to burst from the stress and tension of an impending divorce, his anxious daughter, the game, and mid-life feelings of worthlessness.
Each episode also features a creative way of externalizing and visualizing emotions, concepts, or mindsets like anxiety, e-dating, and pride. Rochelle transforms into a tall business woman with shoulder pads when she goes into money-making-mode. Gravity flips and disappears when she feels like she's losing control of her life. Some episodes even feature completely different animation styles. As a result, each storyline is presented through an unreliable and exaggerated perspective that prioritizes the protagonist and skews reality, often shown through the eyes of a child.
These screenshots really don't do the animation justice, you need to see it in motion to get the appeal. The dialogue is snappy and fun too, and the characters are immediately charismatic and likable. Here's a clip from the first episode.
The two biggest controversies this show had were 1. its art style and 2. the censorship.
The art style was ridiculed and criticized online for looking "grub-hub commercial-ish," which has been said about previous Pixar movies as well (Luca and Turning Red). The characters are extremely cartoony, with sometimes weirdly exaggerated proportions. And admittedly, some of the designs are not it (the noseless barista...). But I think a lot of people and artists will agree that even if the art direction looks strange to you, it grows on you quickly. Pixar knows how to animate and they know how to work with their own models. Plus, given the limitations and labor of a 7-episode show, it makes sense that things had to be simplified. With the gorgeous lighting, textures, and colors, the show's style really reminded me of stop-motion or Nintendo games. It's just fun.
Secondly is the report that Disney made Pixar censor and re-write Kai's episode, which was originally supposed to be an explicit exploration of her trans identity as a young girl and an athlete. The animatic of the original version of the episode was leaked online. The news and decision is extremely disappointing, worsens the final show, and really reveals how careless and conservative Disney is about representation. But if you watch the actual episode, you'll notice all the ways the crew tried to circumvent Disney and maintain Kai's trans identity through coding and nods to gender dysphoria/guilt/expression/affirmation/euphoria. (Her storyline made me cry too.)
I don't want to come across like I'm defending the censorship. An episode dedicated to a POC father-daughter relationship as they navigate Kai coming out as trans while playing sports on Disney+ would have been so powerful and important for family audiences. And they try to supplant the trans storyline with a clumsy softball vs. baseball edit. But I've seen talk about how this storyline was completely erased or how this show is straight up transphobic, and that's just not true. The crew did their best with a truly shitty situation.
If you like shows like Craig of the Creek or Bluey or Steven Universe, you'll probably like this one too.
#personal#ramblings#not art#long post#i don't normally yap about a show but idk. i feel like this one got a unfair and bad rap in the animation community but i really liked it

Day 16: Pack Isolation Sickness
for @stmarchmm
Steve has never felt more at home than at a concert.
Ever since he was old enough to hitch a ride to Indy and sneak into places with a passable fake ID, heâs been drawn to live music however he can find it.
Heâs not even very picky about the genre.
Of course, he has his favorite bands and singers, as most people do. A small collection of songs and artists who make him feel a little less alone in the world.
As a male omega (something thatâs drawn mostly negative attention since he was old enough to present), Steveâs alone a lot.
His parents werenât around much prior to his âunfortunate presentation,â but now they only pop in to take holiday family photos and pretend theyâre good parents.
Then itâs back to some tropical island or big city where they can live the life they actually want.
Without a disappointing son.
So yeah, itâs been rough the last few years for Steve.
No real family or pack. Most of his friends stopped answering his calls when he lost his popularity or refused to sleep with them.
Heâs a loner, but not by choice.
This is how he finally discovers the wonders of metal music.
Steve had overheard some geeky freshmen discussing a metal concert happening at the shitty bar in town that night.
The Hideout is notorious for not carding very well. His fake will be fine, even if half the town knows the Harringtonâs omega son is only eighteen.
His interest is piqued.
A band called âCorroded Coffinâ is supposed to be playing. A group of local musicians who have the regular Tuesday night spot.
Steveâs there an hour early, charming his way past the scrutinizing gaze of the bouncer with a sweet smile and batted eyelashes. It usually works for him.
He then finds a barstool to wait on.
Itâs a little warm in the bar, so much so that even the dim lights start feeling too bright.
Steve has felt on the edge of a cold for a while now. Never quite sick enough to call himself truly ill, but never quite feeling like himself either.
An occasional cough or runny nose. Minor things. Tolerable.
None of that is enough to keep him from the music. If heâs ill, then music is the cure to all his ailments.
Thereâs nothing in the world that canât be remedied with a good rhythm and a catchy melody.
By the time Corroded Coffin is ready to start playing, Steveâs grown slightly impatient.
Heâs almost bouncing in his shoes, antsy to move and dance and enjoy the music thatâs beginning to come from the band on the tiny stage.
Steve notices right away that the members arenât old enough to be here at The Hideout either. Primarily because theyâre also students at Hawkins High.
Gareth, Jeff, Doug, and Eddie Munson.
Heâs not had much interaction with any of them beyond watching Tommy pick on them, back when they used to be friends.
But he knows Eddie is the leader of his little group of freaks.
Steveâs fairly sure they all play some demon game too.
He may not be a part of any social groups any more, but Steve still hears gossip from others.
Thereâs also the matter of Eddie getting up on lunch tables and giving long, flashy, noisy speeches to the whole school about forced conformity and the repression of omegas in society.
For a while, heâs fairly sure everyone believed Eddie himself to be an omega (albeit, a nontraditional one) because of how he openly opposes strict secondary gender roles.
But that rumor was quickly cleared up by a fight between Jason and Eddie wherein alpha fangs came out.
He seems like an okay guy, if a bit strange.
Still, Steve knows enough about his own prior reputation to know he probably shouldnât stick around for the show.
And yet.
The music keeps his feet planted firmly towards the front edge of the stage, filling his ears with booming riffs and drums.
Itâs an addiction, the music.
Something powerful he takes many hits of, but it never seems to fully take the edge off, no matter how much he gets.
Steve stays for the whole set, eyes closed and head banging along with the drunks whoâve stumbled in off the street for liquor and a show.
When it finally stops, itâs hard to believe heâs been listening for almost an hour straight.
âGetting lost in the musicâ is an understatement for the way he feels.
As soon as the show is done, Steveâs energy is zapped. His legs feel suddenly weak and his heart is pounding away too fast.
The cold is catching up to him, leaving him with profound exhaustion and emptiness in its place.
Like maybe heâll never feel normal or happy again.
A feeling of doom and despair washes over Steve. Itâs not new, but it is miserable.
âHarrington?â
He blinks open his eyes.
When had he even closed them?
Steve attempts to straighten up and stop leaning against the nearest brick wall for support.
Eddie Munson is staring him down with a look of open confusion and hidden skepticism, as if maybe heâs mistaken about Steveâs identity in the dark bar.
âMunson,â he states with a shaky nod.
âWhy are you here?â Eddie asks plainly.
Itâs not a surprising question. This isnât one of Steveâs usual joints, but apparently it is Eddie and his alpha friendsâ.
âI came for the music,â Steve answers truthfully.
âOur music?â Gareth joins in.
He nods, turning his body in the direction of the exit. âKing Steveâ is long gone, but not everybody has allowed his past to stay there.
A group of four potentially hostile alphas staring Steve down isnât the best idea, even if they havenât given him a reason to bolt out of the place yet.
âYeah, I heard you guys were good.â
He isnât sure what else to reveal, but he still doesnât feel well and this conversation is weird.
âWe are,â Doug states, squinted gaze locked onto Steve like heâs the one who could be a threat.
As if he isnât an omega facing four alphas.
âRight. Iâllâ uh, just be going now,â Steve explains, trying to push by Eddie with no luck.
As soon as the older alpha puts a hand on his shoulder to stop him, Steveâs legs give out and heâs on the dirty bar floor.
âWhoa, what the hell? Are you okay?â Eddie asks, bending down to help him.
If only he could melt into the floor now. But Eddieâs arms are so nice wrapped around his waist and assisting him to stand. The alpha then leads him backstage, to what appears to be a green room of sorts.
Itâs filled with musical equipment, but at least thereâs a couch where he can sit.
Eddie sits right next to him, tucking Steve under his arm and holding him close.
âIt appears the rumors are true then. King Steve really has no pack.â
The words arenât said in a cruel manner, but it still breaks his heart a little to be reminded.
âWhat do you know about it?â
Eddie hums thoughtfully.
âEnough to realize youâre having a wicked case of isolation sickness and youâre gonna drop any minute now if we donât take care of you properly,â Eddie replies, gesturing towards the rest of his band of friends until theyâre all surrounding Steve.
âWhy are you doing this?â
Heâs openly crying now.
Jeff gives him a sad smile, rubbing his wrist against Steveâs neck gently.
âBecause we know what itâs like to have our own pack look out for us. Whatever the hell happened with your old friends, we canât leave an omega vulnerable like this. Weâll take care of you, Steve.â
Gareth takes hold of his hand.
Doug ruffles his hair, leaving a scent on the top of his head.
All of the Corroded Coffin boys are making sure Steve has physical contact and plenty of scents on him, assuring that his inner omega knows he has a pack around him.
It works fast, the combination of touches and instincts.
He hardly notices Eddie kissing his temple and murmuring sweet words to him about what a good omega he is until his body starts to feel like his own again.
"You're alright, Steve. Your alphas are gonna protect you, sweetheart."
"I really did like your music," he admits quietly.
The boys all chuckle at him, but not in an unkind way.
"Well, you're welcome to tag along to our shows anytime. You can be our first real groupie," Doug jokes.
Steve smiles at that.
It would be nice to have friends again. And it's not like he's got other places to be anyway.
"I'd like that."
Eddie gives his shoulder a squeeze and Steve leans right into the touch, laying his head on the alpha's shoulder in return.
All of the Corroded Coffin members are being so nice to him, even though he doesn't deserve it.
But the pull to be near Eddie is even stronger.
"What do you think about coming back to my place tonight, Stevie? The boys and I were planning on knocking back a few of my Uncle Wayne's beers and watching a sci-fi movie."
He nuzzles his face closer into Eddie's neck, using the action to nod his agreement to the proposed idea.
It takes a combination of efforts to get Steve safely onto Eddie's back so he can carry him out to his van (they also have to reassure the bartender that he's not being kidnapped).
But by the time they make it to Eddie's trailer, the alpha has mentally readied a ten step courting plan to implement on Steve.

Some very quick Eltingville valentines headcannons ^^!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bill Dickey:
He did NOT know it was valentines day
The type of guy to complain about how it was made up by company's to make money or some other joyless crap
If he did get you something, it would probably be simple and related to something you both like so he could borrow it lol
Gets kinda defensive and embarrassed if you try to pull anything lovey dovey on him but if you give him something important to him and something that shows you care about him and his interests, he will be very touched!
After that gift, he isn't very physically affectionate but he does just generally stand and sit much closer to you
Probably brags about whatever you get for him to his friends, rubbing the fact that he has a partner and they don't in their faces
I imagine he gives you some money for you to spend yourself since it was so last minute and didn't want to get you a bad valentines present so just figured this was easier
Pete Dinuzio:
He sets up a little movie night!
He doesn't fully get the appeal of valentines but he knows he's gotta put in some kind of effort
Lots and lots of chocolate and snacks for you two to share! If you can stomach the movie he chooses
He might let you choose the movie this time but only with the promise that he gets to next time
Definitely tried to pull some FREAKY shit...
Just thinks it's natural for couples to do that kind of thing on valentines and that you two should too
I don't know how but i get he still kinda stinks after a shower, i don't know how to describe it but i could never imagine him smelling anything but bad
You can decide if you want that stuff to happen but it will definitely start with a steamy make out session to an insanely gory scene in a disgusting horror movie
Josh Levy:
I can imagine him asking his mum on what clothes he should get you; something simple like a cardigan or a top or some pyjamas
Invites you over and asks his parents to leave (which they don't do) so he's kinda pissy when you get there
You both have some dinner together that his mum made and he probably gets forced to wear something slightly less slobbish. Nothing fancy, just maybe something that doesn't reek and has something other than a geeky reference on it
He still has that dune t-shirt underneath his jumper and immediately gets back into that after dinner
I can imagine Bill as Greedo318 trying to bother him on his night with you since he previously mentioned to the club that he'd be going on a date
It's your choice wether you want to try to talk him out of fighting back against Bill's very clear rage bait but either way, you'll have to calm him down after lolol ^^
He truly appreciates having you around and having someone to truly understand him away from the mocking the club gives him and he tells you that on that night <3
Jerry Stokes:
Also forgot lol ^^
Rushed to the shops on the day to get some flowers but there was only kinda shitty wilted ones so he had to make do
He didn't really clean himself up much but probably did a once over to check if he was looking particularly grimy and did a small wash if he was
He rings your doorbell and gives you the flowers when you answer, happy but also nervous since he almost forgot valentines with his first partner!
"Beedee beedee beedee! Happy Valentines, buck!"
He gives you a kiss on the cheek and comes in to hang out with you
You both do pretty mundane everyday things and it's just very comfortable ^^
You two might do some doodles of your dnd characters kissing or writing a little story about how they could meet lolol!
Probably pretty bad at kissing but he does kiss you so points for confidence!
You two are like always touching in some way through out the night; holding hands, kissing, hugging, sitting right next to each other so your legs are touching etc
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry this was so short but happy valentines everyone!

SUMMARY: When your childhood best friend Theodore Nott sleeps with you one night, your feelings for him over complicate the delicacy of the situation. áŽÊáŽáŽáŽ: childhood bestfriend! Theodore Nott x fem!reader
WORD COUNT: 2.3k
T.W: Angst, mentions of lost of parental figure (mother), commitment issues, implications of sex, mentions of the word "porn", mentions of smoking, drinking and promiscuity, the word "fat" used with slight negative connotation, google translated Italian. áŽ
ÉȘᎠÉȘáŽ
áŽÊ: @cafekitsune
It was as if all hell broke loose.
Ever since you've been young, your memories have been stained with that of the presence of your best friend, Theodore Nott. Influential pureblood families had to stick together, that and it just so happened that your mothers were good friends. You were about 5 when news of his mother's death came around, still remembering the tear stained cheeks belonging to none other than him.
That was the only time you'd seen him cry before.
The two did everything together, from getting their Hogwarts acceptance letters to getting sorted into the same house and forming a friend group of their own.
The group worked as sort of a combination of both your close friend groups, yours consisting of Pansy and Astoria and his of Mattheo and Lorenzo. It was just the 6 of them for a while until Pansy introduced Draco, who brought Blaise with him, and eventually joined the group as well.
Things changed in 5th year.
What at first seemed like Theodore reconnecting with his mother's death and coming to terms with it, turned into smoking, obsessive drinking and even whoring around. It wasn't something you necessarily expected either, growing up, he was always that chubby kid that you'd befriend but always depised when it came his turn to sit on the swing. Now however, he was different. He had grown, obviously, but puberty laced with Mattheo's influence, shaped him into the man he is today. And as much as you hated to admit it, he was gorgeous.
Theodore Nott. The very boy you grew up with, was now this tall, rich, Italian pureblood, slytherin boy that every girl wanted to get with, far from the ''fat geeky kid'' he used to be.
So what else could he do other than to embrace it?He had never gotten this much attention before and it wasn't as if the girls of Hogwarts were all a pain to look at, plus, Mattheo had showed him enough porn to know what to do, right?
His inexperience wasn't known to you. Surely you thought he had slept with you with the intention of wanting to get together, afterall he was your bestfriend and you both knew each other practically your whole lives. So you took his drunken kiss as a confession, the way his hands slid into your hair, how his tongue slid itself into your mouth, down to the way he looked at you as you laid there bare for him for the first time.
You should have known better.
By the time you woke up, he was gone. His presence almost non existent, except for the faint smell of him still lingering in the air, the only indicator that what happened last night wasn't a wild dream of yours. You thought nothing much of it, getting ready when the sight of your skin littered with hickeys made you freeze. You weren't drunk but you weren't necessarily sober last night either, for it being both your first times, it surely didn't felt like it. Your bodies felt like they were made for each other, and in a way you were conviced you were too.
You got ready, making sure to cover up the bruises claiming your neck as you walked to the great hall. You had been friends long enough to know that Lorenzo's love for the school's food had rubbed off on the others as well. You knew exactly where to look.
Though the sight you were greeted with wasn't necessarily pleasant.
Sitting at where you usually did, was Daphne Greengrass, a gorgeous blonde slytherin that just so happened to be the same year as you guys. Theodore's arm drapped right across her shoulder.
Mattheo, whom was previously in a conversation with Theodore, spots you almost instantly. He smiles that charming grin he always carried, one that you grew to adore, before calling you over. Theodore doesn't even glance.
With your original seat currently occupied by a girl, of which none if them had ever talked to prior, you sat beside the spare spot near Mattheo, who immediately pulls you closer to him by your hips. A gesture you normally would pull away from, yet the sight of Theodore being so cozy with another girl after the night you too had together was a new kind of pain you wish you never knew.
The insistent giggles coming from Daphne felt like a knife getting plunged deeper and deeper into your chest, knowing that the reason for said giggles was the man beside her, so carelessly whispering in her ear as his hand played with her hair.
''You're awfully quiet.'' A voice that unmistakably belonged to no other than Lorenzo. His eyes ever so slightly flickering to the way Mattheo's hand was still snaked around your waist, in which his fingers were carefully drawing patterns against the fabric of your skirt.
''I'm just tired'' You spoke, a slight smile gracing your features though your words carried a certain innuendo to it, one only Theodore could pick up, one which he ignored so openly.
Mattheo's low chuckle unmistakable, his arms moving to wrap around your waist, head nuzzled in the spot between your neck and shoulder. His breath ghosting against the surface of your neck.
Your eyes flickered to Theo, who, would once immediately tell Mattheo off, now sat occupied with the pretty blonde. His eyes fixed on hers like she was the only person that mattered. The glimpses of the night prior, the way he looked at you, how he treated you with such care, now a fleeting memory.
You felt used. Like Theodore had taken advantage of your friendship together and used it as a cheap way to test out what he already knew. Toying with a lot more than you had let on.
It was then on that you decided to distance from the Italian, something he had barely noticed until he strolled into the potions classroom, after flirting with random girls throughout the whole duration of the morning, to an empty spot which you normally occupied.
It was abnormal to him, you were his potions partner, his seat mate that allowed him to copy off you on tests, the one person who could help him pass the class, yet there you were, sitting with Mattheo instead of him.
It wasn't as if finding a new seatmate was hard, almost immediately, a brunette ravenclaw sat beside him, her friends giggling from the seat behind her, but she wasn't you.
As the class went on, Theodore found himself looking your way. His eyes would linger on the way you ever so carefully measured the ingredients and placed them to the side, a gesture that his current partner didn't care to do. How you laughed when Mattheo so dropped the eye of newt in an attempt to flirt with you.
It infuriated Theodore, but god was he too stubborn to admit it.
The smell of alcohol reeked the common room, the blasting of the music through the speakers weighing heavily on the countless of sweaty, intoxicated teenagers present, all of which, unbothered by it.
Draco had thrown possibly the 4th party in the past 4 months, all of which, you had previously attended on Theodore's insistence. This time, it was on someone's insistence, though not his.
Heels clicking with every step, you weaved towards the familiar green leather couch situated in front of the fireplace. Spotting your usual friend group, all of which slightly drunk and possibly high.
Mattheo, ever the observant, spots you almost immediately.
''For a second there I thought you wouldn't show'' His voice laced with amusement, it was clear he had probably been drinking prior, the scent of alcohol lingering with every breath he took.
He doesn't await a response before wrapping his arm around your waist, an action that doesn't go unnoticed by Theodore Nott, who in turn, pushes off the slytherin girl who was previously seated on his lap, before abruptly standing up.
You knew better than to follow after him, that Theodore Nott was no longer any of your business, but you'd be lying if you said you didn't care about him anymore.
Moving out of Mattheo's grasp under the excuse of wanting a drink, you made your way to the one place you knew Theo would be.
Theodore knew you'd come after him, you always have. The clicking of your heels an echoing reminder of your fleeting friendship. The once obnoxiously loud music now muted by the glass of the common room balcony.
You knew he'd be there, he always was. "Why are you doing this to me?" He spoke, his gaze fixed on the moonlight that reflected off the black lake, now even darker. The only flicker of light coming from his lighter as he brings it to the cigarette hanging off his lips.
"Doing what Theodore?" You spoke, your tone unconsciously laced with irritation and an air of indifference to his dishriveled appearance.
He pulls the cigarette away from his mouth, letting out a trail of smoke in it's path.
"Cazzo. (fuck) You know what I mean! You and Mattheo! Mio Dio, mi sta facendo impazzire!" (My God, it's driving me crazy) He turns to face you and for the first time tonight, you catch a glimpse of his expression.
It's been years since you've seen Theodore Nott cry, and yet here he was.
He moves towards the lounge chair, sitting at the edge, cigarette long forgotten. His shoulders shake with the kind of sorrow that you've only ever saw once in your life, his face buried in his hands.
"Ă come se ti stessi perdendo." (It's like I'm losing you) He mumbles ever so slightly, looking up for the first time as his gaze catches yours.
You knew there was no turning back. With your resolved crumbling at the seams, you moved to sit beside him on the chair. "I can't lose you, né a Matteo, né a nessuno" (not to Mattheo, not to anyone)
His cheeks were tear-stained as he stared out toward the lake. The party music in the background had grown faint, almost as if the world itself had narrowed to just the two of you.
But you werenât having it.
"This isn't fair. You can't just sleep with me and then act like nothing happened! You can't just toss me aside like I was nothing and then get mad when Mattheo suddenly takes interest in me!"
"I don't get why you're bringing up that night we slept together. non Ăš stato un grosso problema." (it wasn't a big deal)
"It was a big deal!" Your voice cracked, the weight of your emotions pouring out with every word.
"And whyâs that?!" he snapped back, his voice sharp and defensive, but there was something else thereâsomething unspoken, trembling beneath his anger.
"Because I love you!" The confession tore from your chest like a wound finally bursting open, raw and unfiltered. For a moment, the world seemed to still, the air between you heavy with the gravity of what youâd just said.
He froze, his breath hitching as his eyes searched yours. You could see itâthe flicker of vulnerability in the depths of his gaze, the way his jaw tightened as if trying to hold back a storm of emotions.
"You love me?" he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper now, as though the words were too fragile to say out loud.
"Yeah," your voice trembling but resolute. "I have loved you ever since first year, and it's killing me that you're pushing me away and acting like nothing happened!"
"Yeah, well, maybe Iâm pushing you away because I donât know how to stop myself from destroying everything good in my life!" he snapped, his voice breaking. He stood up abruptly, running a hand through his hair as he paced in frustration. "You think this is easy for me? You think I donât hate myself every second for the way I treat you?"
"Then stop doing it!" you cried, standing as well, your voice trembling with anger and pain. "Stop acting like youâre some broken thing that canât be fixed. I see you, Theo. Iâve always seen you. And youâre not brokenâyouâre scared. But so am I!"
He stopped pacing, his back to you, his shoulders tense. "You donât understand," he muttered, his voice low.
"Then make me understand!" you pleaded, stepping closer, your heart hammering in your chest. "Tell me why itâs so hard for you to believe that I love you. Iâve seen the parts of you youâre too scared to show anyone else. And Iâm still here, arenât I?"
He let out a shaky breath, his shoulders slumping as if the weight of his own self-loathing was finally too much to carry. "Iâm scared," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "Iâm scared of what happens if I let myself believe itâbelieve you. Because what if I lose you? What if I ruin it?"
"Youâre already losing me," you said softly, tears slipping down your cheeks now. "Every time you push me away, every time you act like thisâlike we donât matterâyouâre losing me a little more."
For a moment, he said nothing, his gaze fixed on the ground. Then, slowly, he looked up, his eyes meeting yours with an intensity that made your breath hitch.
"I donât want to lose you," he whispered, his voice cracking under the weight of his confession.
"Then stop pushing me away," you pleaded, taking another step closer. "Stop pretending you donât feel this too."
He hesitated, his lips parting as if to argue, but then he closed the distance between you in one swift, desperate motion. His arms wrapped around you tightly, and for the first time in what felt like forever, he let himself break in your embrace.
"Iâm sorry," he murmured against your shoulder, his voice muffled but filled with raw sincerity. "Iâm so sorry."
And as you held him, feeling the tension slowly leave his body, you knew that this was the beginningânot an easy one, but one where neither of you would have to carry the weight alone anymore.

Definitely NOT Invincible (Yandere Invincible & Reader)
(Y/n) Grayson, daughter of one of the greatest heroes, learns just how NOT invincible she is. Thrown back in time after her death, she must warn the Guardians of the Globe of the oncoming slaughter while she also battles her own monsters (both figuratively and literally). However, her father and brother begin to gain interest in her strange behavior, something (y/n) could rather do without.
(Y/n) Grayson, the youngest member of the Grayson family, born to Nolan and Debbie Grayson, with your older brother, Mark, only three years your senior. Life growing up was idyllic in many waysâyou had a loving father, mother, and brother who, at least for the first few years of your life, seemed completely normal. But you always knew something was different about your family, especially about your father and brother.
From an early age, you noticed how often your father would leave at odd hours, saying he was "called into work." When Mark turned 10, he and your dad started spending more time together, and they began excluding you from their bonding sessions. You were curious, but it wasnât until your parents finally sat you down that you learned the truth: your father was Omni-Man, a powerful alien sent to protect Earth, and your brother had just started developing powers like his.
Excited by the revelation, you had a flood of questionsâwhat it felt like to fly, whether you'd get powers, and what space was like. Though your father answered your questions kindly, the growing divide between you and your family was undeniable. Mark, once your geeky, lovable older brother, started to change. By the time you were 12 and he was 15, that change became frightening.
As Mark's powers grew stronger, so did his sense of superiority. He began referring to others as "humans" in a dismissive tone, something that deeply unsettled you. He no longer saw himself as part of the same species, despite being half-human. While he still had moments of warmth and humor with your family, outside of the home, Mark was becoming someone elseâcold, calculating, and even cruel.
He rose in popularity at school thanks to his new powers, good looks, and charisma. He became the star athlete, using his power to brutalize opponents on the field, often injuring them far beyond what was acceptable, and then charming others to get out of trouble. One day, he came home covered in blood after beating a kid so badly that the other boy was left mangled and broken. Markâs behavior was alarming, but what terrified you most was that your father approved of it. Omni-Man encouraged Markâs aggressive dominance, much to your motherâs distress and your growing fear.
While Mark and your fatherâs relationship grew stronger, you felt more and more left out. Your own 10th birthday had passed, and your powers had yet to manifest. Nolan began spending less time with you, focusing on Mark's training, leaving you chasing the bond you once had with him. Debbie tried to bridge the gap, but you couldnât help feeling the loss of both your fatherâs and brotherâs attention.
The real turning point came when you were 12. One day after school, you were hanging out with your friends Hallie, Connor, and Weston in the reclusive meadow near your school. It was a peaceful, secluded spot until you were suddenly attacked by a strange creatureâsomething none of you had ever seen before. It was monstrous, something straight out of the Dungeons & Dragons games you played. You barely managed to kill it, naming it a "Demogorgon" after the game. The four of you hid the body, terrified and confused.
You didnât know what to tell your parents, but the scratches and bruises covering you were impossible to hide. Your father didnât have time to deal with what seemed like childish nonsense, and the local law enforcement was baffled by the sudden attacks happening in your area. The creature you killed wasnât a one-time event; strange attacks began occurring more frequently, leaving the community on edge. Still, your father was too occupied with his work for the government, and Mark was too wrapped up in his own world to help.
As time passed, it became painfully clear that your father was growing distant. You idolized him, but without powers of your own, it seemed like you were losing him. Mark, meanwhile, reveled in his strength, and with your fatherâs approval, his behavior became more dangerous and reckless. He started using his powers in more violent ways, and the line between heroism and cruelty began to blur for him. You watched your once-loving family dynamic twist into something darker.
Despite this, you chased after them both, desperate to stay close to the people you loved. You begged to join their training sessions, hoping that maybe your powers would eventually show. Yet, with each passing day, you felt the weight of their growing alienation. Mark was becoming someone you barely recognizedâa far cry from the nerdy older brother who used to sneak you extra cookies at night and argue about comic book trivia.
Now, you and your friends are facing a looming threat from these mysterious creatures. The attacks are increasing, and no one seems able to stop themânot your father, not Mark, and not the authorities. As the danger mounts, you realize that you and your friends are the only ones who know the truth about the creatures. Youâll have to rely on each other to survive and solve the mystery behind these attacks.
Now at 15, your life had already turned into a living nightmare, but that year? That year, everything truly fell apart. Youâd made it to high school, but the past three years had felt like an eternity. Your father was still physically there, but the emotional distance between you two had grown insurmountable. When he did spend time with you, it felt more like an obligation than a genuine connection. You werenât stupidâyou could see it in his eyes. Heâd written you off the moment it became clear you didnât have powers. To him, you were just another weak human, barely worth his time.
Mark wasnât much better. He oscillated between two extremes: sometimes he was distant, barely acknowledging your existence at home or school. Other times, youâd catch glimpses of your old brother, the one whoâd stay up late with you, watching cheesy movies and tucking you in when you fell asleep. Those rare moments of warmth became your lifeline. You clung to them desperately, as if each one could push back the growing darkness in your family.
But then there was the other thingâthe real problem. The Demogorgon situation. What had started as a single encounter had become a full-on invasion. No one else seemed capable of dealing with it. Not your dad, not Mark, not the heroes the world adored. So you and your friends had decided to do it yourselves.
At first, it seemed impossible to hide the cuts, bruises, and sprains from fighting the monsters. But with your mom working full time and your father and brother too wrapped up in their own twisted lives to care, no one really noticed. You didnât blame your momâshe was drowning in her own problems, trying to keep the family together despite everything.
You were fortunate enough to meet Haymitchâa rugged, grizzled man whoâd been hunting the creatures for longer than you could imagine. He tried to tell you to back off, to leave it to the adults. But of course, you didnât listen. You and your friends had been through too much, seen too much. In your stubborn teenage way, you refused to step aside, leaving him no choice but to train you. Over time, he became something of a mentor and a father figure, filling the void that your real father had left behind.
But that year? That year, the world came crashing down.
It started with the Guardians of the Globe. They were the strongest superhero team on the planet, and they were slaughteredâevery last one of them. Except for your father. At first, the news rocked the world. Omni-Man was hailed as the tragic survivor, the hero who narrowly escaped death. But you knew better. Something felt wrong about the whole thing. Your gut told you there was more to the story, but you couldnât imagine the scope of the horror that was to come.
Soon after, the truth emerged.
Your father didnât come to Earth to protect itâhe came to conquer it. And Mark, your once-nerdy, sometimes-kind brother, had fallen right in line with him. Together, they unleashed chaos on the planet. They pillaged cities, tearing through anyone who stood in their way. Mark, now going by the name Invincible, seemed to take after your father in the worst possible ways. The sweet boy who used to protect you from bullies was now a monster, crushing anyoneâheroes, civilians, soldiersâwho dared oppose him.
The world was plunged into ruin.
You and your friends ran, barely escaping the destruction. You thought maybe your father would have taken you, but no. You werenât a Viltrumite. You werenât powerful. You were just⊠nothing to him. Weak. Disposable. He had already whisked your mom away to a âsafe locationââwhere, you didnât knowâbut you were left behind. Haymitch stayed with you, leading your ragtag group as you all tried to survive in a world turned upside down.
Youâd never felt so betrayed, so alone.
But even in the wreckage of your life, there was a flicker of hope. You had your friends, and you had Haymitch. And most importantly, you had a burning desire to stop your father and brother. Even if you didnât have their powers, even if you didnât have Viltrumite strength, you had something they didnâtâhumanity.
And you were going to fight back.
Months passed, and the worldâs governments were in tatters. Omni-Man and Invincibleâs conquest was nearly complete. Entire cities lay in ruins, and any resistance from the human military or remaining superheroes was swiftly crushed. Yet, even amid the chaos, pockets of resistance formed. Small groups of survivors, including former heroes, started to organize, desperate to reclaim their planet.
You and your friends became part of that underground movement, thanks to Haymitchâs connections. He was no stranger to fighting overwhelming odds, and with his help, you quickly became proficient in guerrilla tactics. You might not have powers, but you had your wits, and you knew how to strike fast and hard, using the terrain and the enemyâs overconfidence against them.
Every day was a struggle, a fight for survival. You missed your mom, wondering if she was safe or if she even knew what was happening. As for your father⊠well, you werenât sure what you felt anymore. Love? Hatred? Betrayal? It was all tangled up in a knot too painful to untangle.
And Mark. God, what had happened to him? Was he too far gone, or was there still a part of him that remembered what it meant to be human? The Mark you once knew wouldnât have done this. But now, the lines were blurred. You didnât know if he could be saved, or if he was beyond redemption.
The day started out like any other grim scavenging run. You, Hallie, Connor, Weston, and Haymitch had been searching for rationsâanything to keep your group alive. The world had become a brutal place, where food and supplies were scarce, and desperation drove people to violence. It was only a matter of time before you crossed paths with another group, and when you did, tension rose immediately.
The air was thick with the potential for bloodshed. Hands hovered near weapons, and the slightest wrong move could trigger a firefight. But as the seconds ticked by, you realized that these werenât just scavengersâthey were survivors, just like you. Whatâs more, they were part of something bigger. The remnants of humanityâs greatest defenders had gathered in secret, forming a larger resistance led by the surviving heroes who had managed to evade the massacre Omni-Man and Invincible left in their wake.
After a tense exchange, they extended an offer: come with them. They said kids shouldnât be out here, fighting for their lives like this. It took your group time to weigh the options, but the decision was unanimousâyouâd all go. Youâd join the resistance and help however you could.
Those weeks spent with the resistance were the best youâd had since the world fell apart. There was food, shelter, andâmost importantlyâhope. You trained alongside the heroes, working with them to organize missions, raid supply caches, and defend what little remained of civilization. For a while, you dared to believe that maybe, just maybe, youâd have a chance to fight back against the Viltrumite tyrants.
But in the back of your mind, you dreaded the inevitable. Every night, the fear gnawed at youâOmni-Man and Invincible would find this place. They always did. And when they did, there would be no mercy. No escape.
That day came sooner than you expected.
You were talking with another resistance member when the alarms blared. Panic rippled through the compound as the distant sound of gunfire echoed closer and closer. Then, the ground shook beneath your feet as the roof was torn open with monstrous strength. Invincible descended into the fray, a twisted grin plastered on his blood-splattered face. Omni-Man followed, cold and detached as ever, watching the carnage unfold like it was just another day.
The heroes fought valiantly, but one by one, they fell. Invincible tore through them with savage glee, while Omni-Man dealt crushing blows with deadly precision. It was a massacre.
You were frozen in place, too terrified to move, when you heard a booming voice cut through the chaosâyour fatherâs voice. "To the rest of you," he called out over the battle, "you will die today. Thereâs no point in fighting." His words sent a chill through your bones.
Everything happened so fast. You tried to run, but before you could escape, a powerful hand grabbed the back of your shirt and lifted you effortlessly into the air. The breath was knocked out of your lungs as you were spun around to face the monster holding you.
It was your father. Omni-Man.
Your mind reeled as you looked at his face, stained with bloodâan expression of cold indifference as he gazed down at you. You wanted to scream, to beg, to ask him why, but the words wouldnât come. All you could do was stare at the man who once cradled you in his arms, who used to play tea party with you, who had been your hero.
But now? Now, he barely recognized you as his daughter.
You struggled, kicking and thrashing, but it was useless. His grip was iron. His gaze pierced through you like you were nothing. Then he spoke, his voice calm and emotionless.
"It really is a shame you turned out like this. So weak."
The words hit you harder than any physical blow could. Tears welled up in your eyes as you looked into his face, searching for any sign of the man you once loved. But there was nothing.
He tilted his head slightly, almost as if considering his next move. Then, his large hand enveloped your head, cradling itâjust like he used to when you were littleâbefore he squeezed.
The pain was blinding. It was as if your skull had exploded under the pressure. You couldnât scream, couldnât think. Everything went dark.
You were dead.
Your father killed you.
You didnât even get to graduate high school. You didnât get to have your first crush. You were dead.
But then, you started to feel.
You were supposed to be dead. The pain should have been gone. Darkness should have consumed you. But you could feel again.
You violently jerked awake, gasping for air, your heart pounding in your chest like it was about to burst. Your mind scrambled to make sense of what was happening.Â
You should be dead. Your father crushed your skull.
Your hands frantically touched your face, your head, everything. You were whole. You were alive.
Your heart raced, your breathing ragged as you clutched your chest, desperately trying to calm the frantic beating. You forced yourself to focus, but only one thought kept swirling around in your mind:
âHow the fuck am I still alive?â
Last you remembered, your fatheâOmni-Manâwas crushing your skull in, revealing just how much of a useless, weak, waste of Viltrumite DNA he thought you were. Then... nothing.
Thatâs when you noticed your surroundings.
Waitâ this wasnât the battlefield or a bunker. This was your bedroom. The walls were familiar, decorated with posters of bands you loved when things were still normal. The faded rug beneath your feet had that same worn-out spot where you always paced while talking on the phone with your friends.
But this wasnât possible. You watched your house get destroyed when Invincible and Omni-Man tore through your neighborhood. You watched it crumble along with everything else. You scrambled to your feet, heart racing again as your mind tried to make sense of it all. Thatâs when you stopped dead in front of your mirror.
Your reflection stared back at you, wide-eyed and pale, but something was off. Way off. Your scars. The ones you had earned during your time in the resistance, the ones that covered your face, arms, and body from fighting to surviveâthey were gone. Not all of themâno, the scars from your battles with the Demogorgons were still there, thin lines across your skin like faint echoes of the hell youâd been through. But the deeper, newer scars from the resistance, from facing Omni-Man and Invincibleâs destruction? They were gone.
Your breath caught in your throat as your mind raced to make sense of this.
Wait a minute.
Something clicked, a horrifying realization dawning on you. You spun around, desperately searching for your phone. After a frantic few seconds of tearing through your sheets, you finally found it, buried under your blanket. Hands shaking, you powered it on, staring intently at the screen as the date loaded.
October 13th, 20XX.
Four months before the Guardians of the Globe were slaughtered. Five months before the world would fall to ruin.
âFuck,â you breathed out, the word escaping in a half-choked whisper.
Your bitch ass time traveled.

billy x slasher reader, she only kills guys. and lets say she ends up getting caught by him in the woods or something after sneaking off with a guy at a party.
sheâs like âwhat are you doing here?â
and heâs like no, âwhat are YOU doing here?â đ€š
he ofc notices the blood, the gloves, the corpse on the ground. when reader showed up into town he took minimal interest in her, she was pretty but she had nothing that peaked his interest. he had more important things to worry abt. well now she was visibly panicking and heâs amused.
he NEVER expected this of all things. how long was this going on? was that the reason so many guys had gone missing recently only to turn up dead? only for the killings to be blamed on him and stu? reader was clever he had to admit, going to an area like this. allowing the blame to fall on them. and now that she looks like sheâs abt to charge at himâ he decides to make things a lil interesting and let her in on his plan.
also i like tagging requests with emojis anytime i send asks so ppl know who itâs from. ^^ is it okay if i do that? if so ill use a đ !

The sound of music playing in the background gradually faded into a muffled thump as you made your way further and further into the woods behind none other than Stu Macherâs house. Stu always did throw the best parties; at least thatâs what you managed to grasp from the minimal time you had spent in Woodsboro. Â
Growing up with a parent whose job involved moving from state to state all the time meant learning how to navigate your way through each school. It was difficult at first of course with all the anxiety of making new friends and the guilt of not being able to keep in touch with them and blah, blah, blah, but over time you came to realize how fucking similar everyone was. There was always that one group of popular kids who were straight up assholes, the group of nerdy, geeky people, the smart kids who would die if they ever got anything besides an A, the stoner kids, and everyone else who were essentially just background characters.Â
And there were always, always, copies of various people regardless of the school you found yourself in. For example, you would find yourself in conversation with a blonde-haired girl who talked exactly like this one brunette you knew but could not be bothered to remember the name of, and they might have had contrasting appearances, but holy shit were they the same exact person. It really serves as a reminder that people arenât as âindividualâ and âspecialâ as they think they are. Â
Apart from realizing the simplicity and naivety of people, you had also come to realize guys are such immature, brainless pieces of shit. Especially teenage boys. It was like the moment they reach puberty all they can think about is getting their dick wet. You had no space to even begin to judge them for being horny. I mean who doesnât like a good fuck every now and then. But the way a portion of them spoke about women as if they were objects had you physically reeling. It was disgusting, the way they could easily engage in conversation about a girl as if they were some trinket they were considering buying at the mall. Â
You could not let that slide. You just couldnât. You wouldnât. What type of feminist would you be if you just stood around without taking action. Â
Some people might call what you are doing just a tad bit over dramatic. But you always had loved theatrics and if anything, everything you did â are doing â would be in vain if it was not at the very least a little entertaining. Your target audience would expect nothing less.Â
The rustle of leaves brings you back to reality as you smile at the green eyed blonde you had tied up against a tree. âListen, honey, itâs nothing personal â really, it isnât, itâs just,â you crouch down in front of him with a sigh, rubbing your thumb across his cheek in a soothing manner, âyouâre such a fucking manwhore.â Your smile turns into a sneer as the last part falls from your mouth. Propping yourself up from your current crouching position you stretch with your hands clasped above your head until you feel the soothing burn as your back pops. âNow,â you clasp your hands together with a grin âfor the main event!â Â
You hum âCalifornia Dreaminââ to yourself as you open the duffle bag you had hidden under a pile of leaves beforehand. You gasp and turn to face the petrified guy with a broad smile. âOh my god that is so ironic.â you gushed as you placed your hands on your hip. You bit your lip stifling a laugh. âGet it âcause the lyrics â y'know itâs about leaves and shit.â you snickered before pouting when you realized all the blonde was doing was staring up at you as his face got paler as the seconds ticked by. âTough crowdâ you muttered rolling your eyes, swiftly turning your back to get the hunting knife and garbage bags tucked in your bag. Â
âAlrighty then,â you beamed âtime to slice ân diceâ the leaves crunched under the weight of your boots as you leisurely made your way in front of the alarmed guy. He squirmed away as best he could, shouting muffled protests as the blade in your hand made its way to his neck. âItâs a shame, really â âyou said with a tone of mock pity âyouâre so pretty but alas, you were just too easy.â you sighed fiddling with your knife. âAll I did was flash you a candy smile and you took the bait, hook, line and sinker.â Â
Smoke left Billyâs mouth as he finished his cigarette, crushing it under his boot on the porch of Stuâs house. He made his way back into the chaotic party accidently bumping into someone in the process. âOh my goodness I am so sorry.â you apologized before hastily grabbing onto the guy you were presumably about to leave with. âIâm such a klutz when Iâm tipsyâ you giggled before getting dragged off by John? Josh? Whatever his fucking name was. Â
Billy had seen you around school a few times, you both shared an AP English class, and you always made an appearance at parties like these. But ever since you showed up guys had been dropping dead like flies. He wouldnât have usually minded aside from a couple curious thoughts but whoever it was that was going on this killing spree was fucking up his plans. The last thing he needed was for âGhostfaceâ to be suspected of all these murders. And he had a sneaking suspicion that you were connected somehow. Â
So, of course, like any rational person, he followed you when you took your boy toy into the woods. Oh, and was he treated with a surprise. Â
You were humming to yourself as you began disposing of a body that had multiple stab wounds littered across it. He could not help the cheshire grin that made its way across his face as he watched you discard everything step by step as if it was a routinely business of yours.Â
âCute hobbyâ he crowed grinning that God awful âBilly Loomisâ esque smile. âYou do this often or... â?â You whipped your head towards the sound of his voice so fast you could have sworn your neck nearly snapped off. Headless horseman was not the look you were going for.Â
Billy Loomis. Billy motherfucking Loomis. You internally screamed your lungs out because how was he standing here. Well, you knew how he obviously followed you, but why? You bumped into him leaving the party, and he saw whatshisname trailing along beside you like a puppy and thought âoh free pornâ or some dumb bullshit? There was no possible way you would be able to play this off. There is a dead body directly next to you, the hunting knife you used had your prints all over it and you had splotches of blood beginning to soak into the soft material of your shirt leaving small crimson red dots. Â
âSo, what now?âÂ
âWhat are you doing here?â you asked in an accusatory tone as you continued to spiral further not in the least bit prepared for this situation. He chuckled, taking a few steps forward as the maroon leaves that filled the forest floor crunched beneath his feet. âI could ask you the same thing.âÂ
Tension fills the air and the only noise that can be heard is the quiet âthump, thump, thumpâ of music in the background save for the occasional hoot of an owl. You are visibly shaken by Billyâs sudden and unwanted appearance while he looks indifferent. The scent of cheap beer and cigaretteâs fill your nostrils as he edges closer, and you contemplate gutting him and making it look like a Ghostface killing.Â
âThis is usually the part where you run.â you squint at him, narrowing your eyes while he tilts his head with a faint smile as though you had said something amusing. âI gotta give you credit,â he says completely ignoring your remark, âcoming to this shithole and letting the blame fall on âGhostfaceâ is pretty clever.â âIs it?â you questioned rhetorically, tightening the grip on your blade. He seems to notice as his eyes flick towards the sharp object but carries on with his little speech. âMhm, yeah, it is. And before you come charging at me with that thing why donât we... have a chat.âÂ
You eyed the boy suspiciously doubt flickering across your features. âA chat...?â He turned towards you with a wicked smile. Â
âI have a proposition.âÂ

Hey Ji! Iâve got a cold and itâs really kicking my butt. I wonât be in class this week. Can you do me a favor and just let me copy your notes for the week? Iâll get with Iyo to get the notes for my other classes. Thanks Ji. I really appreciate it! That had been your text on Sunday, the two of you had been hanging out the day before and got caught in the rain on the way home. He had worriedly told you that you were probably going to get sick but you had reassured him that you would be okay. And lo and behold, he had been right. After getting your text he had quickly called you gently scolding you that he had been right and that you would get sick because of the rain, but when he heard how scratchy and hoarse your voice sounded he had felt bad about scolding you. So he had quickly told you to rest and try to get better, heâd take care of all of the notes for you and make sure you got all of your work and homework assignments as well.
You and Han had been best friends ever since you were kids, your parents had known each other way before either one of you had been born and had stayed close through the years. Even moving to the same town and same street to live, so your lives were intertwined completely and fully from a very early age. Han couldnât imagine his life without you in it and he knew you felt the same way. The two of you were so close that the two of you move as if youâre one, you finish each otherâs sentences, thereâs almost an intuition when it comes to your relationship. Either one of you can tell when thereâs something wrong or going on with the other one and already figuring it out or talking about it before the other realizes it.
And it was always so funny to Han that the two of you fit so well together because you were exact opposites of each other. He was anxious while you were unconcerned, you were outgoing while he took a while to warm up to people, he was a homebody while you were someone who enjoyed going out. He teased you that you were the peanut butter to his jelly and that was how your nicknames of PB and Ji-lly had formed.
The two of you were inseparable and Han preferred it that way, he was the more socially awkward one out of the two of you and relied heavily on you to help guide him through friendships. Han had always been into things that others found nerdy or geeky, anime, comic books, superheroes, and music. He had always been bullied for the things he liked and found pleasure in but you had never judged him, in fact you had tried to understand him and enjoy the same things he did. He loved that about you, you always had an open mind on everything you may not have understood it or enjoyed it as much as Han did but you always tried to. He was so grateful for your friendship that he would do anything for you.
Which is how he found himself taking meticulous notes for the two of you during your shared classes. The bell rings for the end of class and Han pushes up his round framed glasses as he finishes the last of the notes before stowing away his books in his backpack. Slipping his cell phone out of his pocket he sends a quick text to Iyo. Hey Iyo, can I swing by and grab the notes and assignments for PB? Â Iâm going to stop by her place today and want to have everything ready for her. He waited until he got a response form her and then asked for her location so that he could swing by. With Iyoâs location Han quickly left the classroom preparing to get everything together for you before heading to your apartment.
The cafe is lively as Han enters it looking around for Iyo, she had mentioned that sheâd be there with a few of your mutual friends on their break and that he could swing by and pick up the notes and work assignments she had for you. When he hears Iyoâs bright laughter he turns to find her sitting at a table in the middle of the cafe with your friends. Walking over they all slowly stop laughing and turn to face him with various greetings. Han shyly waves at them with a shaky smile slipping onto his face as he buries his hands in the front pocket of his hoodie.
âHey Han!â Greets Iyo as she begins rummaging through her backpack to get all of the notes and assignments for him. âHave you talked to PB? Is she doing better?â Iyo asks curiously. âShe hasnât responded to me in a few hours.â
âYeah I talked to her about an hour ago before my last class. Sheâs okay, still got a sore throat and feeling like crap but her fever broke this morning thankfully.â Han responded easily while smiling softly.
âAww thatâs really sweet of you to be keeping up with her while sheâs sick.â One of your mutual friends mentions and Han nods his head at her as she smiles up at him.
âYeah, youâre really a big sweetheart to her for helping her out like this.â Another chimes in and Han starts to feel a little self conscious of their praise of him. He shifts on his feet anxiously and Iyo looks up at him with a soft frown directed at her friends.
âGuys, enough.â Iyo scolded them and they all giggled as they leaned into each other.
âI mean if I had such a hot best friend like Han I wouldnât let him go without trying to be with him.â Another friend spoke up and Han turned his head sharply to stare at them with wide eyes as the table dissolved into giggles again and Iyo rolled her eyes at them.
âIgnore them Han. Theyâre just jealous.â Iyo tried to explain their words and behavior away and Han just nodded his head quickly before taking the folder that she held out to him.
âJealous of what?â Han asked curiosity getting the best of him and not being able to let it go until he knew what she meant.
âOf PB having a hot best friend whoâs too sweet for her.â One of the friends said and the table erupted into giggles once again which made Han frown softly at their words. Iyo shook her head at him and then gestured for Han to leave which Han nodded and thanked her softly for the notes and assignments before he quickly left. The words of your mutual friends ringing in his ears and bouncing along the walls of his mind.
Han walks up to your apartment door and quickly opens the door with the spare key that you gave him years ago. He quickly slips out of his shoes and brings the bag of take out into the kitchen before moving around to heat it all up for the two of you. When he had the food ready and hot he put it on a tray before carrying it into your bedroom.Â
When he spotted you curled up in your bed buried underneath your blankets with just the top of your head peeking out he smiled softly. Placing the tray of food on your end table he sat on your bed before placing a gentle hand on your side.
âPB, wake up PB. I need you to eat something before taking more medicine.â He called out to you softly. You slowly stirred from sleep and Han watched fondly as you groggily sat up in bed letting the blankets fall from you. He chuckled softly as he gazed at you, your hair was a mess on the top of your head, your eyes are red rimmed and your face looks drowsy still even though heâs pretty sure that youâve slept for the whole day.
âHey Ji-lly.â You said in a raspy tone and Han smiled softly at you as he gently raised his hand to comb through your hair.
âYouâre a mess PB.â He teased softly and you smiled crookedly at him as your eyes closed gently. âCâmon you need to eat something before you take your medicine.â He told you and he watched as you nodded your head obediently. He gently handed you the bowl of soup and waited until you began eating before he took his own bowl and began to eat.
As the two of you ate Hanâs mind kept replaying the encounter at the cafe and without him knowing it you began to pick up that something was bothering him. After taking a couple spoonfuls of your soup you lower your bowl to your lap and turn to look at Han.
âAlright Ji-lly, spill it. Whatâs bothering you?â You ask him and he looks over at you in surprise.Â
âI-â he begins before sighing softly as a knowing smile graces his lips. âWhen I met up with Iyo there were some of your other friends there and they said some stuff that made me curious and a little uncomfortable.â He admitted and you tilted your head to the side as you continued eating your soup.
âWhat was it?â You asked as your eyes kept darting back to him from your soup bowl.
âThey said that I was super sweet for getting your notes and assignments for you. But then they also said that I was hot and that they were jealous of you having a sweet hot best friend.â Han told you and you looked at him surprised before he opened his mouth and spoke up again. âDo you think Iâm attractive?â He asked suddenly and you jolted in your spot on the bed in surprise at his question before you shyly darted your eyes away from him for a moment.
âJi-lly youâre very attractive.â You tell him honestly and Han stares at you with wide eyes at your confession. âBut itâs not just looks thatâs attractive about you.â You say and Han tilts his head at you curiously. âItâs everything. Your sweetness, your excitable passions that you get so worked up over that you rant for hours on end about them, your patience to always make sure that I understand things that youâre sharing with me, your inclusion of me in everything in your life.â You admit softly and Han smiles fondly at you before he chuckles softly.
âThat just sounds like youâre in love with me or something.â He jokes teasingly as he looks down at his soup bowl and finishes the last of his soup. When he realizes that havenât responded to his joke he whips his head up to stare at you surprised. He scoots closer to you and raises his hand to press his glasses further up his nose nervously as you look down at your bowl with a soft pretty blush dusting your cheeks. âAre you in love with me?â He asks softly with baited breath.
You shrug your shoulders at him and your eyes are avoiding any connection with his own as your blush intensifies on your cheeks. Han moves even closer to you and reaches out to cup your face with both of his hands tilting it up to look at him.
âAre you in love with me like Iâm in love with you?â He asks softly and smiles as he watches your eyes widen at his admission before youâre melting in his hold with a soft look overcoming your face.
âYes, Ji-lly. Iâm in love with you just like youâre in love with me.â You admit to him softly and he smiles at you sweetly. He then leans forward puckering his lips to kiss you but just as his lips are about to make contact your hand comes up in between both of your mouths to block him. When Hanâs lips press against your palm he jolts back and looks at you slightly wounded and you huff at him. âJi-lly Iâm still sick. Donât you remember?â You tease him gently and Han blushes brightly at your reminder as you grin at him softly.
âWhen youâre feeling better can I kiss you then?â He asks softly and your grin widens on your face.
âWell duh, weâre dating now so I would assume you would kiss me when Iâm better.â You tell him and he balks at your words before he melts into your bed and cuddles into your side as you finish your soup.
âDating huh?â He asks smugly and you grin at him before pressing a kiss to his forehead.
âDonât get cocky yet Ji-lly. Itâs gonna be our first kiss.â You tell him teasingly and suddenly Han buries his face into your shoulder as a blush consumes him as embarrassment grips him.
